During West Michigan Yarn Quest 2018, which runs Saturday, April 14 through Saturday April 28, we will be hosting a variety of trunk shows!
Final Yarn Quest trunk show! The Lemonade Shop!
We are super excited to have Lemonade Shop back in the Studio April 27 & 28 for a pop up shop! (Friday is our late night too!)
We’ve selected several colors on the Mighty Sock base.
463 yards/100g, 75/25 Superwash Merino/Nylon, 4 ply
A lighter version to knit with because of the twist and the fiber content. This is always popular but more so in the warmer months.
Mark your calendars now because the colors will go fast!
The Lemonade Shop is currently run out of Castle Rock, CO by Heather Rhoads. That’s me. I say currently because I am a Chicago girl at heart and miss the city so much so I am sure there is a move to be had at some point. I fell in love with color at New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL where they had an amazing art department and after that I attended a private design school in Chicago where I left with honors. There could be a long drawn out story about how I got started dyeing yarn but it’s really simple, I love color, I love yarn and I love knitting. I also love cake, but I’ll save that for another time.
My husband Christopher works for the shop full time so we are a true family run business. When he is not twisting yarn or shipping he practices High End Residential Architecture, but that is few and far between these days. We met at an architecture firm where I headed up the marketing department and he was just a mere CAD monkey. That was until we had our daughter Grace. She is one smart cookie and has big plans for her future. Just as long as it’s not boys, I’m not ready for that.
It’s not very riveting, but it’s the way I like it and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
