June WAL @ the Studio – Woven Bag

Join us for a Weave Along! (You must have your own loom)
The WAL in store is using a Rigid Heddle Loom but any portable loom that you have to get the dimensions you want can be used. Also, you should come with you loom already warped or you can come the first meeting to purchase supplies and get color suggestions.
Let’s make something!
This is a very simple weft faced project that will look stunning in the right colors!
Purl Soho has a free pattern for a Two-Piece Woven Bag.
Or you can weave your own design!
Who doesn’t need more bags?!
The eponymous “two pieces” are two woven strips that you whip up on Schacht Spindle Co’s Cricket Loom, a super simple rigid heddle loom that fits right on your kitchen table. Woven in a nice, dense weft-faced plain weave, you sew the two strips together to create this sturdy boxy tote.
Have an idea for a weave along? Let us know!

KAL/CAL/WAL Policies:
Although we would love to see you at the group sessions, you can participate from anywhere! This KAL is free to participate in, but as with all classes, KALs/CALs/WALs, you must use yarns purchased from our store to join. Purchasing supplies and patterns supports designers and your LYS.
For those that need help:
There will be help available during WAL times. As always, we are happy to help with quick questions. This is not a structured class so if you are finding that you may need a little extra help and attention, let us know and we can schedule a quick private lesson with you!
Join anytime!
