Intro to Two Color Brioche

This class will introduce the knitter to the two color brioche technique using Classic Elite’s Technicolor Scarf pattern. Brioche is a type of ribbing that creates a squishy and warm two – sided fabric.

Prerequisites: The student must be able to cast on, knit, purl, bind off as well as be comfortable working slip stitches, yarn overs and decreases.

Skills Taught: Two color brioche technique.

Dates: Class will meet for three, two hour sessions on Saturday, February 4, 18 & March 4 from 10a – noon

Materials: 20% off materials to be purchased from Michigan Fibre Studio.

  • Classic Elite’s Technicolor scarf pattern
  • Worsted weight yarn, 240 yards of a main color and a contrast color. One should be a solid and the other can be a multi, be sure the two yarns are high contrast
  • US 7 circulare 29″ or longer
  • Removable stitch marker

Class Size: Minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8.

Payment is due upon time of registration. Class fee is not refundable unless cancellation is made 72 hours before the class start time. Classes with fewer than four students may be canceled or rescheduled for insufficient registration. Unless otherwise indicated, our classes are for students 16 years of age or older. Your registration is valid for the dates listed in the description and may not be transferred to other class dates.

Be sure to come to the studio early enough to have your supplies purchased and your yarn wound into balls before the start of class. Purchasing supplies from Michigan Fibre Studio supports your LYS and enables us to continue bringing in teachers for your continued fiber education.
