Are you curious about weaving and how it differs from knitting? In this fun introductory class, you will experience all the steps of weaving on a rigid heddle loom from start to finish. By the end of class you will have a good idea of what weaving is all about and go home with a finished project. We will be making a Faux Plaid Cowl or short scarf. Use of loom is included. Please let us know if you are bringing your own loom.
This all day class starts at 10a. We will break around 12 – 12:30 after warping our looms. Feel free to bring a light lunch or snack for a quick break.
Spend the afternoon weaving. Learn how to remove your project from the loom and add fringe and buttons to complete your project.
Skills taught: Warp, weave, fiber selection, tension, fixing mistakes and finish techniques. Finish with fringe and/or buttons.
