About the Dyer:
Tiana Cain is an Indianapolis based independent yarn dyer, with a love for bright bold colors on soft lofty yarns. Mrs. Cain is the owner and operator of I Feel Like Dyeing. She runs her business from a home dye studio where she brings all her best ideas to life. Her unique eye for texture & color helps her to distinguish between the good and the great making sure she only brings the best work to the forefront with a knack for the non-traditional and going against the grain. I Feel Like Dyeing’s hand crafted yarns range from subtle colors and light speckling to vibrant bright neons, soft pastels and bold solids. Described as being very eccentric with an eclectic style and this shows through in her work creating yarns to suit the taste of many enthusiasts.

Tiana started dyeing as a hobby and a way to create colors that she desired but couldn’t find in stores. She found it to be a joyous escape, quite addicting and ultimately therapeutic. Dyeing provided her with a great way to decompress. As she continued over time she collected a very nice stash! Tiana, married and the mother of two fur babies would make her way home from a long day at work and say to her husband, “I feel like dyeing!!!” Using color allowed her to express herself without the confines of a particular style or signature look, discerning that if she could sell some of her hand dyed yarn it could keep the hobby going. This was the inception of concept and how the business was born. Knowing how important it is to have control and understanding of the materials that you use, I Feel Like Dyeing opts to whenever possible create unique blends from local fiber mills so that each handcrafted selection is a piece that stands alone. In this vein, Mrs. Cain had been learning and exploring the art of natural dyeing utilizing locally sourced and homegrown colorants.
