This Friday and Saturday: Oink Pigments!
We are kicking off our Oink Pigments trunk show with the Fibre Ball ~ come meet Helena, master of both color and design & find the perfect skein of yarn or batt of fiber to start off your evening of fiber-frolic! Can’t make it Friday? Helena and her treasures will be in the shop Saturday as well. Check out the specifics here.
Oink Pigments brings together colors in combinations that will inspire you to make great things. Alexa and Helena have chosen beautiful bases for their yarns that were grown processed and spun in the United States, in an effort to support the local industries as well as to supply us with beautiful quality yarns. Then they do their magic ~ bringing together colors that melt right into each other ~ variegated skeins and tonals to support or contrast. And on top of that, they created items to highlight their beautiful yarns ~ patterns that challenge your concept on how a glove should be made or how to best dress those toes! Don’t miss out on experiencing these yarns and fibers first hand!

Colors that Climb ~ Vertically Stranded Colorwork

We are so excited to have Lorilee come teach a class at Michigan Fibre Studio! She is a Craft Yarn Council certified instructor and a TNNA designer/teacher member. You can follow her techniques column “Hey, Try This!” on Knitty.com, featuring a new technique every publication.
Based on her personal exploration of the techniques, you will explore not only the basics of vertical stranded colorwork, but also many creative ways to expand the use of your new skill. Yarn will be provided, please bring your own needles. Spots won’t last long, so call the shop to sign up today! Details can be found HERE.
